Gig in Vic Park

On Easter Saturday Gig Buddies Auckland will be back with another Music in Parks collaboration, this time at the iconic Victoria Park in Auckland's CBD. Standouts from our first event, Fathe and the Sweetos, will be back with their unique groove-centric flavours, and will be supported by Mutes (from mars), Jackson and Ewan from the Easy Beats collective, newcomers Salt Shakers and The View Rd Cats, as well as our talented DJ crew. Piri will be back to host the event, as well as an event better selection of stalls and food. Special shoutout to Circability for making their space available for our Quiet Space, and Rubbadubs for spot prizes on the day.

The Facebook event is here: Gig in Vic Park, and you can follow us on Instagram for updates.

Accessible parking will be provided with the entrance off Beaumont St, next to the skatepark, and a drop-off/pick-up area allocated next to the Circability Building (under the motorway bridge-best to enter and exit heading toward the CBD on Victoria St West). Simple map below:

March 8, Friday night, the Gig Buddies went out to catch the opening game of the NRL season, Warriors vs Sharks game at Mt. Smart stadium. The stadium was packed with more than 27,000 fans in attendance. The game was a nail biter and the boys had a great time supporting the Warriors. The energy of the crowd was contagious, the boys couldn't help but scream along with the crowd; "UP THE WAAAAAAAAHS!".

Big thank you to the Warriors Community Foundation for the tickets!

A 'gig' can be whatever you want it to be! It could be going to theatre, the movies, museums, art galleries, or watching live sports events. Whatever your interests are, we will try to find you a buddy who wants to do the same things as you.

Sign up as a Gig Buddy if you want to go out to live events and meet new friends.
